The Saudi-led Arab coalition intercepted and downed an explosive-laden drone launched by the terrorist Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen towards Abha airport, reported Al Arabiya television.
Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Malki said its forces have thwarted all terrorist attempts at escalation by the militias.
Earlier this week, the Houthis carried out a similar attack at the airport, drawing widespread Arab and international condemnation.
