Arab Coalition Dismisses Houthi Claim of Downing of Saudi Warplane

The Saudi-led Arab coalition refuted on Wednesday claims by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen that they had downed a Saudi warplane.

Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki rejected the claim as baseless.

He said the Houthi statements refer to a failed attempt to down a warplane in 2018 and that today’s allegations are “an extension of the militias’ lies”.
