The Saudi-led Arab coalition announced on Saturday that it had intercepted and destroyed an armed drone fired by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen towards the Kingdom.

The aircraft was targeting the Khamis Mushait region.

The coalition accused the Houthis of deliberately targeting civilians and civilian locations.

The militias’ drone attacks have been thwarted and the necessary measures have been taken to protect civilians, it stressed.
