The Saudi-led Arab coalition said Saturday it has destroyed drone factories and weapons caches belonging to the Iran-backed Houthi militias in the Yemeni capital Sanaa.

The coalition added that its strikes have hit their targets, saying they will continue as long as the threats remain.

Earlier, the coalition had asked civilians not to gather around or approach the targeted sites.

It stressed it was taking the necessary measures to avoid civilian casualties, adding that its operation is in line with international humanitarian law.

On Friday, the coalition carried out 16 military operations against the Houthis in the Marib province, leaving at least 90 militants dead and 12 of their military vehicles destroyed.
