Aqib Talib names toughest WR to cover, QB he most wants to intercept

Aqib Talib has been in the NFL for 11 years, playing for four different teams. Next season will mark his 12th as a professional, so as you might imagine, he’s seen a lot in the NFL – from the best wide receivers to the top quarterbacks.

He recently went on ESPN where he was asked rapid-fire questions about both former and current NFL players. He named the toughest wide receiver to cover – past and present – the quarterback he most wants to intercept and the quarterback who’s most dangerous when the play breaks down.

Take a look at his answers in the video below.

Having spent a large chunk of his career in the AFC, it’s no surprise that Talib would name Antonio Brown the toughest wideout to cover right now. Calvin Johnson has Talib’s respect as the most difficult matchup among past and present receivers, which is also hardly surprising.

Talib has never picked off Drew Brees, but he’ll once again have the opportunity to in Week 2. The Rams host the Saints at the Coliseum in a rematch of the NFC championship game.

You can bet Talib would love to intercept one of Brees’ passes, especially if it comes in a big moment late in the game. That’s a game Talib and the Rams would love to win – one they certainly have circled on the schedule.
