Without wishing to get excuses in early, today's selection of new apps are all iOS. That's not deliberate on our part: we scan the new apps on all the rival stores every morning as part of the research for this post, and it just so happens that today was quiet for those rivals, and very busy for the App Store.
Toca Robot Lab
Toca Robot Lab is the latest delightful iOS kids app from Swedish studio Toca Boca (see our interview for more on the company's philosophy). As the name implies, this one's all about building robots, with a construction mode and the ability to test-fly them.

Gameloft's latest console-rivalling action game for iPhone and iPad is 9mm, with a grizzled cop hero, gunfights galore and a hip-hop soundtrack featuring the likes of Freeway & Jake One and Beanie Sigel. There is also 12-player online deathmatching.

Camp Bestival is the latest UK music festival to get an official app, offering a mixture of running times, videos, photos and an interactive map. Offers will also be made available through the app during the event.

Butlins? Yes, there's an app for that. Specifically, one that helps guests at the holiday camps to see what events are happening, as well as places to eat in the resorts. It's the work of Tamba, which previously made Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite app.

Great British Chefs - Recipes HD
The Great British Chefs app is available on iPhone and iPad, but it's the latter we'd recommend for ideal kitchen use. It features 12 UK chefs and more than 180 recipes, with the ability to search by ingredient, chef or course.

Relentless has released new iPhone game Quiz Climber, a social trivia game with new question packs promised every fortnight to keep it fresh. If Relentless sound familiar, it's because they were behind Sony's Buzz! games. This one's published by Chillingo.
