Apprentice winner Joseph Valente 'proud and honoured' to welcome a baby boy

The Apprentice winner Joseph Valente has expressed his joy at becoming a father for the first time as he and fiancée Megan Clarke welcomed a baby boy on Saturday.

The 32-year-old reality star – who won The Apprentice in 2015 – documented his son’s arrival from the moment Megan went into labour on Friday until baby ‘JJV’, aka Joseph Junior Valente, arrived on Saturday morning.

Joseph says he is already making deals for his son’s own business ventures.

After announcing on Twitter on Friday at 9:51pm: "Here we go!! Off to the hospital Ok wish us luck," baby JJV arrived on Saturday morning at 11:54am and weighing in at 8.9 pounds – with Joseph confirming his brith on Sunday in a gushing Instagram post.

He wrote: “It’s with great pride and honour I’d like to introduce you to my son and my first born.

“Joseph Junior Valente Aka JJV Born 11:54, 7/8/2021, Weighing 8.9 pounds.”

He continued: “Mum and baby doing very well.”

And he added: “I can’t express with words how he makes me feel.”

Despite being only a couple of days old, Joseph is planning his young son’s business future and has set up an Instagram account for him to start making business connections already.

Joseph explained his rationale for creating a page for his son, and for pitching collaborations with companies, arguing: "the Social Media influencers of today are getting younger and younger and [I want] JJV to help influence and build his generation into becoming Entrepreneurs."

He went on to say he wants: "to ensure that from a very young age [JJV] will understand and value social media, building and driving content which is both kids and adult friendly."

JJV’s instagram page, @bossbabyjjv, has been up and running since before he was even born, with snaps of Megan’s baby bump and gifts that were bought ahead of his arrival already on his page.

While a photo of JJV and Jospeh cuddled up together was shared on Sunday evening along with the caption: “Father & Son”.

With their baby here, Joseph and Megan’s next life event will be their wedding day.

Joseph popped the question back in February – when he paid gushing tribute to his wife-to-be.

He gushed online: “Never thought getting engaged would feel so good.

“Now I've got a family to fight for this empire is getting built bigger than I ever dreamed I would go."

Joseph found fame on the 11th series of The Apprentice when Lord Sugar invested in his pluming business ImraGas.

In 2017 the pair parted ways on friendly terms with business mogul Sugar saying he wished Joseph all the best for the future.

Joseph said at the time: "I am so grateful for everything Lord Sugar has done for me and I could not have asked for a better partner in the early stages of my business career.

"I owe him a great deal. I am confident that with the winning business model we created together, I can continue to grow the business successfully."

Joseph was forced to sell his company in January 2020 amid reports he owed almost £2 million to creditors.

When lockdown hit, however, Jospeh found his life improved as he managed to create two businesses – Trade Mastermind and Power2Succeed – to help others who had been derailed by lockdown.

He said in an interview last year: "I found myself pretty much starting from zero back in January.

"I saw that in lockdown and post lockdown, there was going to be a huge demand for people to acquire new skills, going from employed to self-employed because they lost their job, or people needing to up their businesses strategy in the marketplace.

"So I created courses to support new and existing businesses on how to grow, using what I had learnt from the success we had at Impra and also the mistakes and the failures."
