The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner has announced that he and his girlfriend Sinead Chambers are expecting their first child.
The businessman, 29, shared the happy news with followers on Twitter, posting a series of photos of him and Chambers holding an ultrasound scan.
“BEST NEWS!” he wrote. “Just wanted to let you know that Sinead & I are expecting a little baby.”
He added: “Due date is 23rd October. We are super excited! Thought I would send a little tweet to make you smile.
“Hope you all have a great day! We are absolutely over the moon!”
He added in a later tweet: "I wonder if @Lord_Sugar wants to be a godfather."
The couple have been together for two and a half years.
Speaking to The Sun Online, the father-to-be said: “It’s honestly the best news I’ve had in my life.
“At this crazy time for everyone I just want to share my happy news, it’s just fantastic and I’m so excited for what’s to come.”
Skinner appeared on last year’s edition of the BBC reality show and vied to impress Lord Sugar with his business acumen, becoming a fan favourite thanks to his straight-talking nature.
He eventually left the competition in week nine in a double firing.
Speaking to Standard Online shortly after leaving the competition, Skinner revealed that his stint on the show had boosted his business and “opened a lot of doors.”
Reflecting positively on his reality TV experience, which he rated an “11” out of 10, he joked that Lord Sugar “is my mate now,” adding: “If he ever wants a pint of beer, he can give me a call. He’s a lovely man."
