Apprentice star Lottie Lion causes fresh controversy with online support for hunting

Race row Apprentice star Lottie Lion has whipped up new controversy with online support for a Boxing Day hunt.

She previously posted Instagram snaps of herself posing provocatively with a rifle and a brace of dead pheasants then later on a shoot.

The ex-librarian, 20, from Taunton in Somerset, has now posted a hunt photo captioned: “Very proud to be a part of this community. Sad I am not on horse back this year.”

Lottie, fired by Lord Sugar, denied being racist after telling a fellow candidate: “Shut up Gandhi” during a clash.

The 20-year-old former librarian was already proving a controversial character on Lord Sugar’s show, before the news broke of a ‘racism row’ and subsequent investigation by the BBC.

She later claimed she was banned from interviews and after-care treatment by the channel.

A spokesperson for the BBC told the Metro today that all the candidates that participate in The Apprentice are provided with support both during and after their time on the show.

Lottie was also offered the support but declined to take it.

“‘Lottie was informed by the production company that her comments were unacceptable,’’ the spokesperson further explained to The Metro.

“The negative press coverage stemmed from Lottie’s language to another candidate, not the actions of the production.”

With some Twitter users likening Lottie to unpopular public figure, Katie Hopkins, she was accused of directing the comment 'shut up Ghandi’ at fellow Apprentice star Lubna Farhan.
