Apply for Married at First Sight as much talked about Channel 4 show looks for contestants

It is one of the most extreme reality TV shows out there at the minute and Married at First Sight is wanting to recruit some Geordies for its next series.

As many shows do, Married at First Sight originally proved a big hit oversea but has made the switch to the UK in style, regularly attracting millions of viewers to its episodes on Channel 4, where it has aired since 2015.

One of the stars of the third UK series, Ben Jardine ended up in the final series of Celebrity Big Brother , famously getting close to disgraced housemate Roxanne Pallett.

The show is based on the Dutch series Married, and is an extreme experiment where six singles marry complete strangers.

Using “scientific matchmaking methods”, couples are matched by specialists, who have their say on who should be paired with who.

Camera crews will document the relationships – including their wedding day, honeymoon and the first few weeks of married life.

But, based on the success rate of the marriages on the four UK series so far, we wouldn't be feeling too optimistic!

To apply for Married At First Sight you must be:

  • Over 18 years old
  • Living in the UK
  • Feel ready for marriage
  • Want experts to find you a match

To apply for the show send your name, phone number and email address to  marriedatfirstsight@cplproductions.co.uk   .
