Applications to be a contestant on Pointless are now open

Fancy yourself as a quiz buff who can think of the most obscure answers?

This could be your chance as BBC game show Pointless is looking for new contestants to try and take home the money.

Attempting to get the answer fewest members of the public picked, the show is all about thinking outside of the box and using reverse psychology to predict what people would most likely have chsoen.

Hosted by Alexander Armstrong and comedian Richard Osman, the BBC show is a big hit with viewers as a twist on the traditional quiz format.

The prize money is dependent on the success of the contestants and the highest prize money to date has been £24,750.

The show is co-hosted by Alexander Armstrong (mirror.co.uk)

The website application form states what they are looking for: "Pointless is the quiz show where the obvious answers mean nothing and obscure answers mean EVERYTHING.

"If you believe you've got what it takes to be a Pointless contestant, and think you could trust your mum, best mate or boss to be cool under pressure, then we want to hear from you.

"We're looking for pairs of contestants to put their general knowledge skills to the test and come up with the most obscure answer."

Anyone who wants to apply can do so at: www.pointlessapplications.com.
