Apple TV Plus price revealed - and it's significantly cheaper than Netflix

Apple has finally revealed the price for its Apple TV Plus service - and it’s significantly cheaper than its rival, Netflix .

Speaking at an event in Cupertino, California today, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, revealed that Apple TV Plus will cost just $4.99/month (UK price remains unclear).

And if users buy a new Apple device, including iPhones or iPads, they’ll get a year of the TV service for free.

This is significantly cheaper than Netflix, which currently costs users £8.99/month in the UK.

Apple TV Plus is the tech giant’s new TV streaming service, that includes several films and TV programmes, exclusive to Apple.

The service will feature in Apple’s TV app, which is available on its iOS devices or on its Apple TV boxes

Thankfully, users don’t have long to wait to access the service.

Speaking at the event, Mr Cook confirmed that Apple TV Plus will launch on November 1.
