Apple's next iPhone update will make your battery last much longer

It's possibly one of the most annoying issues phone owners face - running out of battery.

But thanks to Apple's next iOS update, worrying about whether you'll have enough charge to see you through the day could be over.

The latest update includes a new feature that will make your iPhone battery last longer, which may be somewhat unbelievable for users.

Apple have previously admitted to its devices' batteries degrading over time.

According to the Mirror , charging your iPhone to 100 percent and then leaving it can be detrimental to battery life.

However, the new iOS 13 update is now on its way to change all that.

The update will contain a new feature called 'Optimised Battery Charging'.

Apple explained that it helps to 'slow the rate of battery ageing by reducing the time your iPhone spends fully charged'.

The update will be here in the autumn (Dominic Lipinski/PA Wire)

They added: "iPhone uses on-device machine learning to understand your daily charging routine so it can wait to finish charging beyond 80 per cent until you need to use it."

This basically means that your iPhone will pick up on your charging habits - however bad they may be - and adjust how it charges your phone according to that.

Other new features of the iOS 13, which launches in the autumn, includes a new Dark Mode and new Memoji customisations.
