The moment that Apple fans have been waiting for is finally here, as Apple ’s Time Flies event is about to begin.
The highly anticipated event will begin at 18:00 BST today, and could see Apple launch a range of new hardware products.
While many Apple fans will be hoping to see the iPhone 12 range today, a respected leaker has revealed that it’s extremely unlikely the smartphone will be launched today.
Jon Prosser has even gone so far as to claim that he’ll ‘shave off his eyebrows’ if the iPhone 12 is unveiled today.
He tweeted: “Reminder of the things I said you can expect FOR SURE in today’s #AppleEvent.
“iPad Air 4, iPad 8, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Series 6. NO IPHONES IN THE EVENT.
"NO AIRPODS STUDIO. Again. iPhones. No.”
In a follow up tweet, he added: “If they actually do give us the iPhone 12 today, I’ll shave off my eyebrows.”
While Mr Prosser is usually very reliable with his leaks, he slipped up recently, after claiming that a new iPad and Apple Watch would be unveiled on September 8.
Instead, Apple simply announced tonight’s event on September 8.
Mr Prosser explaoined: “Apple announced the event for Apple Watch & iPad (15th). It’s not an “iPhone” event after all.
“My sources said today was ONLY for Apple Watch & iPad. So I can see where the mix-up happened.
“Still I got this one wrong. But it gives you a bit of an idea of how it works BTS.”
