As Apple's iPad launches in the UK, media companies such as Sky are rolling out their offerings for the platform. These join apps available since the US launch of the tablet, some of which have already attracted significant numbers of downloads.

Newspapers
Costs £9.99 every 28 days. It is a separate product from the Times.co.uk website, which will be priced at £1 a day or £2 a week once the paywall goes up
Free to subscribers to FT newspaper and website. Other users can sample it for free until 31 July thanks to a deal with Hublot
The Guardian
The free Eyewitness photojournalism app has attracted 90,000 downloads since iPad's US launch on 3 April

The paper's Editors' Choice app for iPhone and iPad, launched in early April, is free
iPad edition costs $18 a month, compared with print edition price of $29 a month. Had 64,000 users in early May
