"Jacob was born at 23 weeks weighing 1lb 4oz – the equivalent of an Apple iPad," it tells readers. 1lb 4oz – difficult to get your head around. But the same as an Apple iPad? Ah yes, I know exactly how much that weighs. If you still prefer your newborn baby analogies in old money, the Mirror offers up a helping hand. It is also the same as "half a bag of sugar".
