The new Apple iPad Air 5 is on sale in the UK on 18 March and pre orders are open on Friday from £599.
The launch is the fifth generation of the iPad Air device and comes over a year since the launch of the previous fourth generation device.
Powered by Apple Silicon, performance is the main focus here. Gaming is taking centre stage thanks to a new M1 chip. This is the same as the iPad Pro chip and is 60% faster than the previous generation Air.
We're promised amazing graphics performance that is twice as fast. It says it is faster than any competitor and the best-selling Windows laptop in the same price range.
The Air 5 has have a 12MP ultra wide camera for use on video calling. All iPad models now feature this 'centre stage' feature, as well as 5G.
It also features Apple Pencil compatibility and iPadOS as the operating system that includes multi-tasking and a new app builder on the iPad.
A new version of iMovie is also available.
The iPad Air 5 was confirmed at the brand's Peek Performance live stream event alongside a new iPhone SE third generation phone, which is also on sale in the UK in a week.
