Apple fans are furious after the iPhone 12 was not unveiled at Apple's Time Flies event this evening.
Rumours ahead of the event indicated that Apple could announce as many as four new iPhones, expected to be called the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 Max Pro.
However, while several other new pieces of hardware were announced, Apple did not include any smartphones in the launch.
Apple has previously confirmed that this year's iPhone will go on sale later than previous launches, amid the coroanvirus pandemic.
Several frustrated fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the omission from the event.
One user wrote: "Where is the iPhone 12? I’m lost."
Another added: "Man wth where is the Iphone 12?! ugh the one day I can watch it and y’all making us wait. I bet I’ll have to work the day you decide to release."
And one tweeted: "APPLE IF YOU DONT GET BACK HERE AND EXPLAIN WHERE MY DAMN IPHONE 12 IS."
While there was no iPhone 12 today, Apple did announce several other new products.
The Apple Watch 6 was announced alongside a new budget smartwatch, called the Apple Watch SE.
Meanwhile, two new iPads were announced - the eighth generation iPad, and a new iPad Air.
