A fall showdown is set for the next monster flagship phones from two American tech giants.
On one side, we have the Pixel 3 XL apparently just landing at the FCC. On the other side, we have the 6.5-inch iPhone with the “XS” branding* scheme.
Google’s Pixel phones have become the standard bearer for the best stock Android experience, while Apple focuses on bigger edge-to-edge designs.
So, it’s time for a (preliminary) side-by-side.

*Apple traditionally has branded interim devices with the “s” moniker.
**Pixel 3 XL: I was told by Russia-based Rozetked that 3 XL’s display is 6.2 inches. That said, Ukrainian YouTuber posted a video, courtesy of Android Police, running the Antutu app showing the 6.7-inch display.
