With heavy hearts, Thais do not want the day of the royal cremation for their beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej to come, but must accept the truth. In greater Bangkok, mourners can present sandalwood flowers for the royal funeral at 114 assembly points on Oct 26.
To facilitate searching, Nostra Map, a navigation map application on phones and tablets, has launched special map layers featuring the 114 assembly points in Bangkok and its suburbs.
The application allows users to search for the nearest assembly points and navigate the most convenient routes for travel. To use the map, open the app, touch the layer icon and select 114 assembly points of "present sandalwood flowers". The app will display all the locations to present the sandalwood flowers.
The application displays nine replicas of the royal crematorium pinned by the symbol of Phra Merumas and all assembly points to present the flowers pinned by the symbol of a sandalwood flower. Visit map.nostramap.com.
In addition, the app outlines the "Nine Exhibitions Of King Rama IX" with the aim of inviting the general public to visit any of the exhibitions. Check the app for the locations and routes.
