Appeal to trace vulnerable pensioner last seen in Kennishead

An appeal has been launched to trace a 78-year-old man missing from Glasgow since this morning.

Thomas Waugh was last seen by a neighbour around 8:50am in Carnwadric Road, Kennishead.

He is white, around 5 ft 8 inches in height, with a slim build and grey hair.  He normally wearing spectacles and is believed to be wearing a light tanned coloured jumper and grey trousers. He may also be carrying an orange shopping bag.

Officers are speaking to family and friends for any information which could help with their enquiries. They said it is possible he may have travelled to Shawlands as it is an area he knows well.

A force spokesman said: "Our concern for Thomas is growing and his family is understandably very worried and just want to know he is safe and well.  If anyone has seen Thomas or has any information or knowledge regarding his whereabouts, please contact Police Scotland on 101."
