Appeal to trace relatives of man found dead in Govan home

Police are appealing to help trace the relatives of a man found dead at his home in Govan.

Dougald Reid Donnelly, 68, was discovered inside a property on Elder Street on February 5. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Officers say he was known to have one brother, William, who resided in Kilmarnock and passed away in January 2020.

A Police Scotland statement said: " Police Service of Scotland is appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing relatives of a 67 year old male who recently died in the Govan area of Glasgow.

 

"Mr. Donnelly was found dead within his home at Elder Street, Glasgow on the 5th of February 2020. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. Mr Donnelly was born in Ayrshire.

"He was known to have one brother, William, who resided in Kilmarnock and passed away in January 2020.

"Anyone who has knowledge of Mr. Donnelly’s relatives is asked to contact the Administration Department at London Road Police Office on 0141-532-4656 between 7am and 3pm Monday -Friday."
