Appeal to trace next of kin of man found dead following death of his partner

Police are trying to locate the relatives of a man whose body was found has been found in a rural part of west Wales.

David Phillips, aged 51, was reported missing from his home in Ceredigion on December 5, 2020.

Tragically, his partner Jacqueline Reynolds, also aged 51, died on that day and an investigation was started by Dyfed-Powys Police.

A large-scale search was carried out in an attempt to find Mr Phillips and his body was eventually found in the Henllan area of Ceredigion on Sunday, January 31.

HM Coroner has been notified of both deaths, and police have confirmed that neither is being treated as suspicious.

They are now appealing for any relatives of Mr Phillips to come forward, as they have not been able to trace any of his family members.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We have exhausted all enquiries to find relatives of Mr Phillips. If you are related to him, or know someone who is, please contact us quoting reference DP-20201205-167.

“We can be contacted either online at: bit.ly/DPPContactOnline, by emailing 101@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk, or by calling 101."
