Appeal to reunite owner with toy dog lost on train from Edinburgh

A rail operator is appealing to find the owners of a toy dog which was lost on board a train from Edinburgh.

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) staff found the sad-looking pup on a train between the Scottish capital and London.

It was left on a carriage on the service, which departed Waverley at midday on Friday.

LNER tweeted their appeal to trace the owner in the evening.

They said: "Have you lost a friend whilst travelling today?

"This little one was found on the 12:00 Edinburgh to King's Cross service."
