French Bulldog puppy returned to owner as investigation into street robbery in Wallsend continues

An 18-year-old man was left shaken after his 'much loved' French Bulldog puppy was stolen by two men in a robbery in North Tyneside.

At about 11.45pm on Wednesday, officers received a report that two offenders approached an 18-year-old man on Thames Gardens, Wallsend.

The men then proceeded to threaten the victim before stealing money, jewellery and the victim’s dog, a 28-week-old French Bulldog named Callie.

Thankfully, the victim was not physically injured, however was left shaken by the ordeal.

An investigation was immediately launched, and officers appealed for any witnesses which may help to reunite the victim with his much-loved pet.

As part of their enquires, police released an image of the dog, Callie, in the hope that someone may recognise her.

Thankfully, Callie has since been found and has been reunited with her owner, however detectives are still appealing for any information which may assist the investigation.
