Appeal to Niall Horan to grant dying Galway man's final wish

An Irish charity has put out an appeal to singer Niall Horan to help grant a dying man's last wish.

Clare's Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of terminally ill adults, is asking for help to get in contact with the Mullingar hit singer urgently to grant the wish before the 49-year-old man passes away.

The Galway resident's family got in touch with the foundation's founder Kevin Clancy asking for a video message or a meet and greet with Niall Horan for his 50th birthday which is on June 14th.

"We have been trying to get this wish granted but just can't seem to make contact with the right people," said Kevin.

"The man's prognosis isn't good so we need to try and do this as fast as possible. I would appeal to anyone who knows Niall to get a message to him and we just need a small video message to make this man's day."

Kevin set up Clare's Wish Foundation in memory of his sister who had Spina Bifida and in ten years, it has granted over 200 wishes to adults who are terminally ill.

"To my knowledge, we are the only charity in Ireland that tries to grant wishes for adults who are ill," he said

"We have arranged meet and greets to date with stars such as Bryan Adams and Lionel Ritchie and we sourced a log cabin for one lady who wanted it so all her treatments could be away from her three kids.

"We are only a small charity but we do our best and we would love to be able to make this man's wish in Galway come true." The foundation can be contacted at clareswishfoundation@gmail.com
