Appeal to identify driver who 'knocked over a pedestrian' in East Belfast

Police are seeking to speak to a driver who 'knocked over a pedestrian causing injury' in Belfast.

The incident took place on Willowholme Street at around 9.45am on June 27, when a white van allegedly reversed into a pedestrian, injuring them.

It is reported that the driver of the van spoke to the person afterwards, but did not leave any details.

Police would like to identify the driver and are asking anyone who may have been in the area and have dashcam footage to contact them.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A white van reversed into and knocked over a pedestrian causing injury. 

"This happened at approximately 9.45 am. The driver spoke to the pedestrian but did not leave any details and needs to be identified.

"If you were in the area or may have any dash cam footage of this incident please phone 101 and give the reference number 940 27/06/20."
