Dad of 'very ill' Paisley woman stranded in Thailand begs 'help bring my little girl home'

An urgent appeal has been launched to fly home a Paisley woman who is stranded in Thailand with illness.

Rebekah Fulton, a former Glennifer High School pupil, 25, is currently in a hospital in Phuket where she is fighting against a serious infection and is described as 'very ill'.

Her dad, James, from Barrhead , is with Rebekah in Thailand has started an online fundraiser which aims to generate £25,000 to get 'his little girl home'.

Within 20 hours of appearing online, almost £3,000 has been donated from popular Rebekah's family, friends and well wishers from across the world.

On the fundraising page, dad James said: "Rebekah is in hospital in Phuket with a serious infection and is very ill.

"I am trying to raise enough funds to get her home as soon as possible as she is way too poorly to fly.

Family say thanks as hunt for missing Paisley mum Patti Henry goes on  

"I am in Phuket with her and I understand that she is well known all over the world through her travels throughout Asia and I am respectfully appealing to everyone to give a little to bring my girl home.

"I would like to thank everyone who has helped Rebekah so far and sincerely thank everyone in advance for their support. 
"Any surplus funds will be donated to a charity of Rebekah’s choice."

James issued an update today, thanking everyone who has supported the campaign, which is currently trending on the gofundme website.

He added: "I just want to thank everyone who has helped so far and I have tried to thank you all individually so sorry if I missed anyone.

"As this appeal gathers pace it is becoming apparent how much Rebekah means to a huge amount of people so thanks again for the support.

"I will update everyone on how she is when I can."
