Police are keen to reunite a dog with its owner after the pooch was discovered in Shotts.
Officers made an online appeal following the discovery and are keen for the reunion to take place as soon as possible.
Police Scotland tweeted: “A dog was found at Dykehead Road, Shotts on October 13.
“Could the owner please contact Police Scotland quoting incident 3776 on 13/10/2021. If you know who the owner is, please reach out to them.
“The dog is safe and well and keeping us company at Hamilton police station.”
