Appeal to find missing man with head injury last seen getting out of taxi from hospital

An appeal has been issued to help find a man from north Manchester with a head injury who has gone missing.

Gary, 41, from Miles Platting, whose surname has not been disclosed, was last seen getting out of a taxi on Pottery Lane in Gorton at around 6.40am this morning (Sunday, October 3) after leaving Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) around ten minutes earlier.

"He has a head injury and it's important he goes back to hospital for treatment," Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Gary and want to make sure he is safe and well.

"If anyone sees Gary please can you call an ambulance and notify police."

He is white, of slim build, is around 6ft 2ins tall and has short brown hair.

He has visible injuries to his face police say.

He was last seen wearing a white cap, a black bomber jacket and blue jeans with black trainers.

Anyone who sees Gary is asked to call both police and an ambulance immediately.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police on 0161 856 3501.
