Appeal to find boy, 15, missing for almost a month

Police have issued a new appeal to help trace a 15-year-old boy who has been missing for nearly a month.

Ellis Clegg was reported missing from his home in Paisley, Scotland, on Sunday, December 12 and is believed to be in Cheshire.

Ellis - who has gone missing before - is known to travel, and has been sighted in the Runcorn area in recent days. He has also had links to Manchester.

He is described as 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build and has short brown and brown eyes and was believed to be wearing a black North Face tracksuit when he was last seen.

Officers are carrying out enquiries to determine his whereabouts and are urging the public to get in touch if they see Ellis.

Inspector Richard Williams said: "It has now been 24 days since Ellis left home in Scotland and we are keen to locate him to ensure he is okay.

"Enquiries to trace him have been ongoing and we believe that he has been in the Runcorn area in recent days.

"If you or anyone you know has any information or footage that may help us find Ellis, please get in touch.

"I would also like to appeal directly to Ellis to get in touch and let us know that you are safe and well."

Anyone with information or footage that may assist in the ongoing search for Ellis is asked to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or Cheshire Constabulary on 101 quoting IML 1163473.
