Appeal to find a vulnerable woman who went missing from Weston in the early hours of Monday morning

Police are appealing for help to find a vulnerable missing woman who has disappeared from her home in Weston-super-Mare.

Officers said Farida Khlif Alamad is disabled and 'may appear depressed or withdrawn', and they have asked for Bristol Live readers' help to find her.

The 46-year-old is just 5ft 1ins tall, of large build and has black hair and brown eyes. "She does not speak very good English and may appear depressed or withdrawn," a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said.

"Farida walks with the aid of a folding aluminium walker due to an historic leg injury.

She is thought to be wearing a dark blue hijab.

Farida went missing from the Holms Road area of Weston, and is thought to have left the property some time after 3am this morning, the early hours of Monday, March 9.

"We believe she may still be in the Weston-super-Mare area but had indicted she wanted to travel to London," a police spokesperson said.

"We would like anyone who spots Farida to contact us quoting 5220056749," he added.
