Appeal launched to find missing woman last seen in Glasgow

Police have launched a search for a woman from East Kilbride who was last seen in Glasgow.

Karen Harland went missing from her home yesterday at 9am (Friday, December 27) and and is understood to have been in the Clarkston area at 11am.

are now seeking the public's help in tracing the 48-year-old.

She has access to a black Ford Fiesta, registration SB07 NXC, and is described as being around 5ft 2in tall with short brown hair. She was last seen wearing a knee length red jacket.

Sergeant Ian Baxter of East Kilbride Police Station said: "Karen's family are growing increasingly concerned for Karen and would like her to get in touch as soon as possible.

"If you have any information which could help us trace Karen to ensure she is safe and well we would greatly appreciate your help.

"Please call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 1370 of 27 December."

Update: Karen Harland, 48, who had been reported missing from East Kilbride has now been traced safe and well.
