Appeal launched to find Glasgow boy's missing toy left in Ikea

A little boy from Glasgow is without his lovable toy giraffe as it went on an adventure all of its own.

The stuffed animal, named Giraffe, was last seen in Ikea Braehead yesterday (Tuesday, November 20)  - and now his gran is on a mission to find the missing toy and reunite the pair.

The missing toy has been reported to Ikea but a social media campaign was started to help locate the lost stuffed animal.

Gran Denise Brownlee said: "My grandson has lost his much loved giraffe in the store.

"My daughter Marianne spoke to the store and they said they would keep an eye out for it but this giraffe is over 7 yrs old and has not spent a night away from my grandson.

"It's tatty and lost a lot of it's stuffing. He was 7 in July and has never had a night without Giraffe."

She added: "We have had no luck in finding it yet."
