Appeal launched as popular Paisley man vanishes

A popular Paisley man has gone missing and his family are desperately trying to trace him.

John Smith often socialises in Paisley and was last seen in the town's Brown Street on Friday morning.

The 53-year-old was due to attend an appointment and failed to return home. He was reported missing to police on Saturday morning.

John is about 5ft 10 in, medium build, with greying, auburn hair and wears glasses.

When last seen, he was wearing a black leather jacket, a blue shirt, blue jeans and white trainers.

Officers have been checking CCTV footage for any further information on John or where he might have gone.

Concern has grown as nobody has seen him. He also has links to Blackpool and Morecombe in Lancashire and officers are liaising with the local force.

Anyone who has seen John or has any information as to his whereabouts is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1164 of 26 June 2021.
