Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 30s has died following a crash between a car and a pedestrian in the city centre over the weekend.
The incident happened on George's Street at 9:00pm on Saturday, 11th December.
A garda spokesman said: "The female pedestrian, aged in her 30s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to St James Hospital where she passed at a later date.
"The driver of the SUV was uninjured."
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this fatal collision to come forward.
Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
