Appeal for witnesses after man seriously assaulted in Ibrox

Police are appealing for information after a 48-year-old man was seriously assaulted in Ibrox.

The incident happened at around 4pm on Friday (January 31) on Woodville Street.

Two men approached the victim and assaulted him, and he suffered a facial injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Sergeant Ainsley Clark said: "The victim was walking Woodville Street in the direction of the subway station at Copeland Road when he was approached by the two men.

"One of the men is described as being approximately five foot six inches tall, of slim build, wearing a dark coloured cagoule style jacket with the hood up, a scarf covering his face and dark trousers. 

"The second man is described as being five foot eight inches tall, of slim build, wearing a dark cagoule style jacket with hood up and dark trousers.

"I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with Police Scotland on 101, quoting 2358 of 31 January, 2020 speak to any police officers".
