Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They want to speak to anyone who might have dash cam footage, or who was in the area at the time.

PC Graeme Bailey of GMP’s Roads Policing Unit said: "We are really to keen hear from the public or anyone in the area at the time of the incident, especially those who have dashcam footage or witnessed what happened.

"One male has serious injuries from this road traffic collision and prior to police arriving at the scene the vehicles were removed so we are looking at a number of lines of enquiry to determine how this incident happened.”

Anyone with information should contact police via 101 or 0161 856 8866 quoting log number 1769 of the 04/09/22. Alternatively, details can also be shared anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
