Appeal for witnesses after man is hit by car

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured when he was hit by a car last night (Friday, November 26).

The man was walking along Wildhouse Lane in the Milnrow area of Rochdale at about 11.30pm when he was hit by a white Mercedes.

The 43-year-old man is in hospital in a stable condition.

The driver remained at the scene to call the emergency services and help police, a GMP spokesperson said.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing, a police spokesperson said.

GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to call police on 0161 856 4741 quoting incident 3598-26/11/2021.
