Appeal for new home for friendly dog

Animal welfare experts are appealing to find a new home a friendly young dog in their care.

Lawrence Longlegs is a four-year-old greyhound who is currently living at Dogs Trust West Calder Rehoming Centre.

And his carers say the sweet and friendly boy loves nothing more than being in the company of the ones he loves.

A spokesperson for Dogs Trust said: “He adores his owners and is always first in line for an ear scratch or a good neck rub.

“Lawrence Longlegs can live with children over the age of 10 years old and although he is happy to meet other similar sized dogs on his walks outside he would like to be the only pet in the home.

“He enjoys going on adventures to explore new and interesting places, he walks well on his lead and is always by your side Lawrence Longlegs is looking for new owners who have had the experience of owning dogs before.

“He is looking for a home with his own secure garden where he can spend time running around off his lead having lots of fun or relaxing with his family. Like a lot of sighthounds, Lawrence Longlegs likes his home comforts and is often found lying in bed with his legs up in the air snoozing the afternoon away.”

If you think you can offer Lawrence Longlegs or any of the other 50 dogs currently available for rehoming please contact the centre on 01506 873459.

You can also follow Dogs Trust West Calder on Twitter @DT_WestCalder for regular updates on events and dogs available for rehoming.

Please look at the Dogs Trust website for access during the coronavirus outbreak.
