The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after a rabbit was found abandoned in Glasgow.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity was alerted by a member of the public, who discovered the rabbit in a pet carrier on Glasgow Green, on 21 November.
Scottish SPCA animal rescue officer Amy Stirton said: "The male rabbit was found dumped in the park in broad daylight at around midday.
"He was a bit dirty, but thankfully otherwise unharmed.
"We are grateful to the passer-by who found him and took him into their home while they waited for us to arrive.
"One of our animal rescue and rehoming centres is providing the care he needs.
"The team have affectionately named him Kipper.
"We’re keen to find out more about the circumstances that led to him being abandoned on Glasgow Green.

Abandoning an animal is an offence under the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006. Anyone found guilty of doing so can expect to be banned from keeping animals for a fixed period or life.
