Appeal for help to find man missing from Leigh as police grow 'increasingly concerned'

Police are appealing for help to find a missing man from Leigh.

Gareth Carr was last seen at around 3pm yesterday (Friday).

The 59-year-old was seen in the Abbey Lane area of Leigh, police said.

Gareth is described as a white male, who is around 5ft 6in tall and of medium build.

He has light brown hair which is slightly greying and has tattoos on his arms and hands.

He was last seen wearing shorts, a t-shirt and Adidas trainers.

In a post on the GMP Leigh Facebook page, officers said they are 'becoming increasingly concerned' for Gareth's welfare.

Anyone who sees him or has any information is being urged to get in touch.

Any information regarding Gareth's whereabouts or sightings can be reported via 101 quoting missing person reference MSP/06LL/0002671/21.
