Appeal for A68 dashcam footage in Midlothian after £2k worth of jewellery stolen

Police are appealing to motorists who were travelling on the A68 on Monday following a break-in.

Jewellery worth around £2,000 was stolen from a property on the A68 - between The Stair Arms and the B6367 - in the Pathhead area, shortly before 11am and midday on Monday (20 May).

Officers are particularly interested in speaking to those who may have dashcam footage and were travelling the road around the time of the incident.

PC Calum Cross of the Community Investigation Unit said: "As part of our ongoing enquiries, we're urging anyone who was driving on the A68 during this time, especially motorists with dashcam footage, to get in touch.

"Those who may have any information which could be relevant to our investigation are also urged to contact us or the charity Crimestoppers as soon as possible."

Information can be passed to Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident 3867 of 20th May, or reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
