Fears for missing Leeds man who went to the shop and never came home

Police are appealing for information to help trace a man who has gone missing in Leeds.

Koady Smith, aged 20, was last seen at about 8pm on Sunday when he left his home in Harehills to go to a local shop.

He was reported missing on Monday night after his family became increasingly concerned for his welfare.

He is described as white, 6ft 1in tall, of medium build, with brown hair shaved at the back and sides. He was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a white Berghaus long-sleeved top, a black and grey Hugo Boss jacket, and black and white trainers.

Detective Inspector Richard Holmes, of Leeds District CID, said: “It is out of character for Koady to go missing like this and his family are very concerned and urgently want to hear that he is okay.

“We are carrying out enquiries to trace him and would like to hear from anyone who has seen him or who has any information that could help to find him.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101 quoting log number 1562 of May 18 or online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat
