A man remains in a 'serious condition' five months after he was attacked in Manchester. Police were called to reports of an altercation in the Stevenson Square area in the early hours of Sunday, June 19.
Enquiries have so far established that, during the altercation between two groups, the victim was punched from behind and fell to the floor where he was knocked unconscious.
Five months on from the attack, the victim, aged in his 20s, remains in a serious condition and has suffered from life-changing injuries. The incident is said to have caused 'great upset' for his family who are now 'seeking closure'.

Police have released new CCTV images of a man they want to speak to as part of their ongoing enquiries. Witnesses and anyone with any information are being urged to come forward.

Detective Constable Phillip Sargeant said: "The victims’ injuries are serious – we wish him a quick recovery and our thoughts are with his loved ones. This incident has caused great upset for his family, who seek closure.
"We hope somebody can help us identify the man in the images, who we believe has significant information that could help us understand what happened that morning."
