Appeal after man suffers injuries in motorbike hit and run near Broxtowe Country Park

A man has suffered injuries after being hit by a motor bike on a public footpath.

A police appeal has now been launched following the incident.

It happened in Broxtowe Country Park, near the Nottingham Road entrance at around 3.30pm on July 5.

Police believe that the bike rider in the photographs released may have been involved or will have witnessed the incident.

PC Flatters of Nottinghamshire Police, said “Off road motorbikes driven in public places is a growing issue for residents in the Broxtowe area. On this occasion a pedestrian has been left with injuries following a hit and run, which is totally unacceptable.

"The incident took place during the afternoon and there will have been a number of members of public present in the country park. I am appealing for any witnesses to come forward with any information they may have”.

Police have asked people who witnessed the incident or recognise the rider or have any other information that may help to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 556 of 5th July 2021.

Alternatively, people can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
