Appeal after man injured in Dublin bridge incident 'involving large number of youths'

Gardai have sent out an appeal for information about an assault on a bridge last week.

Officers from Store Street in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which involved a "large number of youths", on Samuel Beckett Bridge in the city shortly after 7pm on Monday evening, March 22.

A man was attacked and taken to the Mater Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. He has since been released.

A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward to them.

"Anyone who was travelling on the bridge or in the area that includes Sir John Rogerson's Quay and Guild Street between 7p.m. - 8p.m. and who may have camera (dash cam) footage, is also asked to contact Gardaí.

"Anyone with any information should contact Store Street Garda Station on 01 6668000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station."
