Appeal after man carrying crate of beer launches bottles at taxis when he was turned away

Police have issued an appeal after a man launched beer bottles at two taxis when he was turned away.

The incident happened outside Wigan station at around 4.20pm on January 4.

The suspect, who was carrying a crate of beer, tried to get into one of the taxis parked outside the station, British Transport Police said.

But when he was turned away by the driver, he started launching bottles against the car while the driver was inside.

Both were left with 'significant damage'.

The suspect then fled the scene.
