Police have appealed for witnesses after a 60-year-old man was left fighting for his life in a south London hit-and-run.

The pedestrian was hit by a black SUV on Vesta Road, Brockley on Monday, November 1, at 9.10pm.

The car did not stop at the scene, said officers.

The injured man was rushed by ambulance to a south London hospital, where his condition is described as life-threatening.

Police are trying to trace the vehicle and driver, and say they are particularly keen to hear from witnesses who have dash cam footage.

Officers also want to speak to residents with CCTV that may have captured images of the vehicle.
