A family is nursing their cat back to health after it was shot in Co Antrim.
The black and white kitty sustained an injury to its back and needed veterinarian treatment.
The incident happened in Lisburn and a spokesperson for Rescue Cats NI, posted a social media message warning owners to be on the lookout for their pets.
She said: "A cat has been shot with a BB gun in the Kennedy Drive, Harmony Hill area. Please keep an eye on your furbabies if they are outdoor cats.
"Thankfully the wee cat is alive but I’m sure traumatised as are the poor owners."
